Voice

I would like to thank you for the two-day Premium Craftsman Experience Course to give as an engagement knife.
He gave us detailed instructions and made the experience enjoyable.

I'm glad I gave it to him as a gift because he was satisfied with the sharpness and design.❗

I would like to go back next year to make my own knives as well as maintain the ones I made this time.
Even if you don't have any knowledge or experience about manufacturing or knives, you can enjoy the experience and feel the sharpness of the knives.

  • Please bring a towel to wrap around your head, a change of clothes, and something to drink, as it will be hot and humid in the summer.
  • We do not guarantee the quality of the knives made by the participants, as they are only made by beginners during their experience.
  • The gift of a finished beef knife for the basic experience course is different from the one made on the day of the experience.
  • Those who are under the influence of alcohol, pregnant, have heart disease, or have other medical conditions that make it difficult to participate in this experience are not allowed to participate. In addition, the organizer reserves the right to refuse the experience if it is deemed difficult to carry out.

FAQ

Can I choose the pattern?
Thank you for your question. You cannot choose the pattern for your experience. Thank you for your understanding.
I would like to make one knife for two people. In that case, should I make a reservation for one person?
Thank you for your question, but we cannot accommodate two people working on one knife for process and safety reasons. You can bring up to one person to observe the process. Thank you for your cooperation.
Is it possible to engrave a name or something?
Thank you for your question. We cannot engrave your name, but we can engrave a name of your choice on it.
It says in the notes that the gift of the finished product for the basic experience course is different from the one you made on the day of the experience. Does this mean that there is a gift for the finished product other than the one I made myself?
Thank you very much for your inquiry.
We are currently not accepting applications for the "Basic Experience Course," for which you will receive a finished beef knife as a gift. You can apply for the "Craftsman Experience Course" and take home a Western-style kitchen knife made on the day of the experience. Thank you for your cooperation.
I would like to make a kiridashi small knife, can you handle it?
Thank you for your question. If you can understand in advance that it will be a single piece of wood because we only have solid wood, and that we can't guarantee that we can do the reverse side penetration well because we are not a professional small knife maker, we will be able to help you.
We can provide the steel (Hakuni), so would it be possible for you to experience the production of Hongyaki?
Thank you for your question. We cannot accept the experience of bringing in your own steel materials due to various risks such as deformation and breakage during the production process. Thank you for your understanding.
The day I would like to visit you is full, but that is the only day that works for me, can I add one more person? I would like to take the craftsman experience course, Santoku knife.
Thank you very much for your inquiry.
As for the craftsman experience course, we have limited the number of people that one craftsman can handle in a day in consideration of safety, because we want you to experience the total handcrafting of steel knives. We ask for your understanding in this matter. In addition, there are some dates other than the advertised dates that we can accept on a case-by-case basis, so please contact us with your preferred dates.
How old do you have to be to take the basic trial course? Is there a knife experience that can be done by a fifth grader?
Thank you for your inquiry. Currently, all the courses we offer are for adults.
We will prepare a different course for elementary school children to reduce the danger of blade making, so please let us know when you would like to try it.
